Welcome to BASK

San Francisco Bay Area Sea Kayakers (BASK) is a club dedicated to the safe enjoyment of the sport of sea kayaking.

Mission Statement: BASK provides a forum for people to meet other paddlers, generate ideas for trips and promote safe sea kayaking. We teach each other about bay and ocean ecology, and help each other improve our kayaking skills, techniques and safety; we share experiences and information on local conditions and hazards, and enjoy paddling together in the superb sea kayaking environment of the San Francisco Bay Area.

You don't need to be a BASK member to attend our General Meetings. These informal events are held in the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House in San Francisco on the last Wednesday of the month, when we meet to socialize, listen to interesting presentations and exchange information in a relaxed atmosphere.
